Award winning Michael Murphy has earned an international reputation as a top producer/director.

Michael Murphy Productions (MMP) specializes in music based programming in the form of webcasts, long form music programs, documentaries and festivals. In 1992, he was joined by Cilista Eberle, who brought with her 10 years in feature film experience, as line producer and producer. The two have worked together to create programming that have been broadcast by A & E, ABC, ATT the blue room, BET, BRAVO, CBS, FOX, MSN video, NHK, PBS, RAI, TRIO DIGITAL, TBS, VH1, and ZDF.

MMP has produced programming from the renowned New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival for over 20 years. Programs have been broadcast on ABC In Concert, MSN video, NHK, PBS, VH1!, & Trio Digital Network; a DVD series for Shout! Factory, and has produced audio programs for BluesStage, SoNet & BBC2 Radio.

MMP began producing High definition programming with NHK in 1992. Shoots include the 2000 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, “N'Sync: PopOdyssey”, and “The Blind Boys of Alabama: Go Tell It On The Mountain.” MMP released their first feature length high definition documentary on New Orleans, Make It Funky! in Fall of 2005. Michael Murphy directed the film, which was co-produced by Michael Murphy and Cilista Eberle. They also released an HD/DVD a concert only version from the 6 hour event, "The New Orleans Concert.

As webcasting concerts came to the forefront, MMP began producing for the web in 2000. They have had concerts on Riffage, Sonet, MSN video, and for Jazz Fest 2007, the Att blue room.
